Andrey Talalaev chooses the five best young players in the RPL

Baltika coach Andrey Talalaev took part in the traditional "Championat" voting for the award for the Best Young Player of the RPL. On his list, Talalaev highlighted five young talents in the league.


In fifth place, he chose Dynamo's Timofey Marinkin. Baltika's Ivan Belikov came fourth. Dmitry Pestryakov, from Akron, occupied third place, while Matvey Kislyak, from CSKA, took second place. The big winner, chosen by Talalaev, was Alexey Batrakov, from Lokomotiv, who stood out throughout the season.

This vote is a tradition after the end of the season, where coaches and captains of RPL teams nominate the five best young players, considering athletes aged 21 or younger at the start of the championship. Each club can nominate up to three players, and the score is distributed as follows: six points for first place, four for second, three for third, two for fourth and one for fifth. Points are added up to determine the winner. In recent years, the award has been won by players such as Gamid Agalarov in the 2021/2022 season, Sergey Pinyaev in 2022/2023, Konstantin Tyukavin in 2023/2024 and Alexey Batrakov in 2024/2025.
