Antognoni has no doubts: “Nico Paz is a complete 10, the strongest in Serie A”

Giancarlo Antognoni, head of the under-21 team delegation, recently presented his book ('A life of ten. Regarding Silvio Baldini, he stated: "Silvio deserves this opportunity, he came from the base and it is a great recognition. During the conversation, Antognoni also commented on coaches and the importance of Carnevali in Spalletti's work. "I believe that Carnevali is a great manager, the previous one did not bring significant results. At Juventus, it is necessary to reach the Champions League or win the championship. Carnevali's arrival could be an important acquisition, as he has experience and worked well at Sassuolo, who has always been admired."


Regarding Nico Paz, he didn't hesitate: "Yes, he's a complete 10. He's not just a 10 who provides assists or scores goals. He also helps in defense. Como made a big effort to have him, it wasn't a gift from Real. As a team, they surprised, played better than anyone and showed with the signings and the coach that they know what they're doing, reaching the Champions League. The work done in these years was essential."

Antognoni also highlighted Nico Paz's choice to stay at Como: "It was not easy to decide between Real and Como, so this must be valued. Often, players think about practical issues, but he made the right choice in the end."

When compared to Antognoni for his decision to turn down Roma and Juventus in the past, he replied: "Yes, but I didn't play in the Champions League... From the point of view of respect for the Como fans and the institution, he made a choice that, although not a sacrifice, must be highlighted."
