Chivu follows the World Cup in Miami: observations and market movements
Cristian Chivu, Inter coach, is in Miami to analyze players' performance during the World Cup, while preparing for the transfer market and his return to the team.
Cristian Chivu, Inter's coach, is taking advantage of the European football break to closely watch the World Cup matches. According to information from the newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chivu spent a few days in Miami with his wife, Adelina, alternating moments of leisure with analyzing the tournament's games.
This trip became a valuable opportunity to follow different players and exchange ideas with old acquaintances from the football scene. The last match Chivu watched live was between Argentina and Cape Verde, where he was accompanied by former teammate Marco Materazzi. During the game, the coach had the chance to observe Lionel Messi and the surprising Cape Verdean team, as well as Lautaro Martínez, who was carrying out important tactical work for Albiceleste.

Before that, Chivu also attended other matches, such as Brazil and Scotland, and Colombia against Portugal, where he was impressed by the young Colombian midfielder Puerta, just 20 years old, who was recently promoted to La Liga with Racing Santander. However, Puerta is not yet a target for Inter, who are still keeping an eye on Liverpool's Curtis Jones.
Despite being in the United States, Chivu maintains constant contact with Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio to monitor market developments. In the coming days, he will return to Milan to prepare for pre-season, with Inter leaving on July 16th for Donaueschingen, Germany, where he will stay until the first friendly match, scheduled for July 26th against Karlsruher. After that, the team will go on a tour between Hong Kong and Australia, before their championship debut on August 22 against Monza, at San Siro.
