Inter confirm the signing of Provedel and target Chalobah as their next target
Inter officially signed goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, formerly of Lazio, for 3 million euros. Now, the club is focusing on bringing in Trevoh Chalobah to strengthen the defense.
Inter officially announced the signing of goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, who arrives from Lazio for 3 million euros. The confirmation took place yesterday afternoon, marking the club's first reinforcement for next season. Provedel, 32, replaces Yann Sommer, who left the team on June 30. The new goalkeeper will be the backup to newly promoted Josep Martinez.
Next week, Provedel will be in Milan to undergo medical examinations and sign a contract valid for three years. The player's agent, Gianni Rava, commented on the move: "Ivan has always been an Inter fan, and this represents a closure in his career. He is excited to show his value at the club."

With Provedel's arrival, Inter's board turns its attention to the defensive sector, and the next target is 26-year-old Englishman Trevoh Chalobah. Chalobah, who spent six seasons in the Premier League with Chelsea plus a loan spell at Crystal Palace, is a long-time wish of sporting director Piero Ausilio.
Recently, Chelsea rejected a proposal of around 25 million euros from Como, asking for at least 10 million more. In the coming days, the expectation is that there will be contact between the teams and Chalobah's agent to advance negotiations.
