Manchester City agreed date to hire Jeremy Monga from Leicester
Manchester City managed to secure the signing of Jeremy Monga from Leicester City for £12.5 million, beating Arsenal in the competition for the young talent.
Manchester City has already started its preparations for the 2026/27 Premier League season with a deal reached to sign Jeremy Monga, striker from Leicester City and the England under-19 team. The club will pay £12.5 million, with £10 million fixed and £2.5 million in contingencies, surpassing Arsenal, who withdrew from negotiations due to the amount demanded.
New coach Enzo Maresca has been instrumental in this process, as he knows Monga from his time at Leicester in the 2023/24 season. The young player, who also received offers from clubs such as Real Madrid and Chelsea, stood out last season, making 30 appearances for Leicester in the Championship and already having experience in the Premier League.
With Monga, City are looking to reinforce their attack, especially on the left side, and he joins a list of promises that the club is looking to strengthen their squad in the long term.
