Manchester City calm about rumors of Haaland leaving for Real Madrid


Manchester City are calm regarding rumors surrounding Norwegian striker Erling Haaland's possible departure to Real Madrid this summer, as the club do not expect his transfer to take place anytime soon. The information was released by journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his social networks. According to Romano, City believe that Haaland will remain in the team and have not received any signal from the player indicating a desire to leave. Furthermore, Haaland is considered a key part of the project, especially with the possible hiring of Enzo Maresca as a new coach. Previously, Enrique Riquelme, Real Madrid's presidential candidate, promised to sign Haaland if he wins the elections on June 7th. Last season, Haaland featured in 52 matches across all competitions, scoring 38 goals and providing nine assists.
