Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay took part in training on the eve of the World Cup opener against Haiti, after missing the previous day's activity due to a stomach bug. The Napoli player, who has been one of Scotland's key figures in recent campaigns, was with the group as they moved from their base in Charlotte on Thursday. However, the 29-year-old made a separate trip with a doctor, a move that appears to have been purely a precaution. Steve Clarke's team begin their first World Cup in 28 years this Saturday (Sunday, 02:00 BST) at Boston Stadium in Foxborough, facing Haiti. In addition to the Haitian team, Scotland will also face Morocco and Brazil in the group stage. McTominay, who has scored 15 goals in 70 international appearances, found the net in Scotland's convincing 4-0 victory against Bolivia last Saturday.
