However, Jarell Quansah and Jordan Henderson experienced mixed moments, with the former receiving a red card and the latter leaving the field injured after the match, even so, England's victory is considered one of the most memorable in their World Cup history. **Here are seven moments that defined England's chaotic victory at Azteca:** ## **Electrical storm delays the start of the game** Even before the opening whistle, the match began with drama, with the start delayed by an hour due to an electrical storm in the region. Tournament safety rules dictate that any lightning detected within eight miles of the stadium results in an automatic 30-minute delay. The game was scheduled to start at 6pm, but due to severe weather, the time was changed to 7pm. The first signs of thunder began to be noticed the previous afternoon, and fans were unable to enter the stadium due to heavy rain and lightning. The stadium's security protocol was activated, advising everyone to shelter in place. ## **Quick Bellingham double** After a troubled start, England finally got into the game and Jude Bellingham shone, showing his ability in big moments. First, in the 36th minute, Jordan Pickford began an attack that culminated in Bukayo Saka crossing for Bellingham, who headed home. Less than two minutes later, Harry Kane, instead of shooting, passed to Bellingham, who doubled the lead. The referee, after reviewing the play in VAR, decided to show the red card, leaving England at a numerical disadvantage. ## **Kane converts penalty and restores lead** Even with one player down, England recovered and, just six minutes after the expulsion, increased their lead again.
