Napoli prepares for the market: waiting strategy and risks involved
Napoli is planning its movements in the market, focusing on reinforcements and challenges related to costs and competition.
Napoli are preparing to announce Max Allegri, who is getting closer to resolving his deal with Milan. The club has already outlined its market maneuvers a long time ago. Sporting director Manna, in common agreement with the Tuscan coach, has a clear vision, although for the Neapolitan team this market is totally different from last year, both in relation to investments and the timing of acquisitions, which were acquired for values possibly higher than the real market value, already aiming at the availability of coach Conte in training in Dimaro.
In this window, the focus will be, firstly, on exits and rebalancing the payroll. However, for some key targets, Napoli cannot afford to wait too long.
Strengthening the defense is one of the priority points. Napoli already has an agreement with Mario Gila, whose contract with Lazio expires in June 2027. So far, the Parthenopean club is not willing to go beyond 15 million euros, having offered the possibility of including some loan counterparts, such as Lucca and Rafa Marin. Napoli waits, confident in the expiration of the contract and the player's desire, but Atalanta may try to enter the negotiation in the coming days.
Another target is Anan Khalaili, who has been in Napoli's sights for months. The club has a basic understanding with the agent of the Israeli Union Saint-Gillouse player, who, however, is not willing to negotiate below 25 million euros. Furthermore, there is a 15% resale clause that must be guaranteed to Maccabi, which maintains its high demands. Napoli, with bonuses, could reach 20 million euros, but the waiting strategy may not be advantageous, as, according to recent rumors, Inter, after losing Palestra, are trying to get involved in the negotiation. The market is long, and Napoli seems to be in no rush, but there are risks associated with the main targets.
