2026 World Cup prizes: Teams will guarantee at least 10.5 million dollars
FIFA has increased the prize pool for the 2026 World Cup to more than 620 million euros, ensuring that all participating teams, including Brazil, will receive at least 10.5 million dollars.

FIFA announced a significant increase in the prize pool for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in Mexico, Canada and the United States. The new prize pool is more than 620 million euros, a record in the tournament's history. Each team, including Brazil, will guarantee at least 10.5 million dollars for their participation.
Of this amount, each country will receive around 1.28 million euros for preparation costs. Teams that do not advance to the knockout stage will still have a prize of approximately 7.68 million euros. This means that, regardless of performance, all participating teams can count on a minimum amount, and this amount can increase if they manage to advance.

The teams that progress to the next phases will receive even bigger prizes. The winner of the tournament, for example, will win almost 43 million euros, in addition to the amount allocated to preparation. In turn, the runner-up will receive around 15 million euros less.
It is important to highlight that this World Cup will feature the participation of 48 teams, an increase compared to the 36 that participated in the previous tournament in Qatar in 2022. According to FIFA, this year's prize pool increased by more than 50% compared to the last World Cup, which shows the entity's commitment to valuing the tournament's participants even more.
