Fyodor Smolov, former Krasnodar and Dynamo Moscow striker, revealed the reasons why he has not yet returned to professional football. In an interview, he shared: "I'm at a stage where, last summer, I decided not to look for a new club just because of my own impressions of football. Yes, there are no miracles, the body's resources are not infinite, but I can match a level for some time. Even as a starter, I can be effective for 60 minutes. The problem is what I'm getting from football. The football that's happening now doesn't really appeal to me in terms of content. There's very little reflection, more senseless rushing, less skill. For me, like player, with my set of qualities, it is more difficult for me to stand out. Now, what is in the foreground is the fight, the duels, some completely thoughtless decisions. The striker left Krasnodar in the summer of 2025, contributing to the club's victory in the Mir RPL.
