Tunisian coach, Renard, highlights the qualities of the Dutch team

Hervé Renard, the coach of the Tunisian national team, is looking forward to the clash against the Netherlands. In a press conference he expressed his admiration for Dutch football. The African team is mainly looking to end the World Cup on a positive note, after a difficult start. Tunisia has struggled so far, suffering crushing defeats to Sweden (5-1) and Japan (4-0), conceding nine goals, while in the qualifying phase they have not conceded a goal in ten matches. Renard was asked about this big difference in performance.


"It's always difficult to explain everything in football. When you lose confidence, you don't play like you used to. They did much better in the qualifiers and they also performed better in the last World Cup. But for now, it's a very difficult moment for the Tunisian team. That happens sometimes in football. So we need to be strong and finish the World Cup in the best way possible," said Renard, who took over after Sabri Lamouchi was fired after the first match.

The coach also praised the qualities of the Dutch team. "A very strong team, with talented attackers," he said. "They are an athletic team, very dangerous in set pieces. The Netherlands came to this tournament to go as far as possible. They are perhaps one of the biggest underdogs of the tournament", added Renard, who shows great appreciation for Dutch football. "It's always a pleasure to watch the Netherlands play, as they have a very good organization but great execution. Always playing 4-3-3 and sometimes in defense, De Jong joins in to keep the balance. I love that style of play. But tomorrow I hope I won't be too impressed."
