Cristian Chivu renews contract with Inter until 2028
Cristian Chivu renewed his contract with Inter until 2028, doubling his salary.
Cristian Chivu renewed his contract with Inter until 2028. This was a wise decision by the Milanese club's board, which recognizes the work of the Romanian coach in his first season at the helm of the main team, after also previously working as coach of the under-20 team. In his first year, Chivu won a Scudetto and a Coppa Italia.
With the renewal, in addition to extending his contract for another year (from 2027 to 2028, without options), the coach will see his salary double. He will now receive a minimum of 3 million euros per year, which can reach more than 4 million with the inclusion of bonuses. The signing of the new contract took place late in the afternoon, after a meeting at Inter headquarters, with the presence of the coach himself.
Inter, through a statement on their social media, announced: "FC Internazionale Milano is happy to announce the renewal of coach Cristian Chivu's contract. Thanks to the new agreement, the coach will be at the helm of the Nerazzurri until 2028."
