Gleb Popolitov explains why he left the Spartak system
Gleb Popolitov spoke about his transfer from Spartak to First League club Chayka, highlighting that this was a breakthrough in his career.

PFC CSKA player Gleb Popolitov explained in an interview why he decided to leave the Spartak system. "How did you practically the entire team transfer to Chayka?" He replied: "The information about Chayka appeared a long time ago. We understood that the Primeira Liga club represents growth for us. We knew that after the season we would gather there."

Popolitov also commented on his transfer: "For me, the move to Chayka was a step forward or would I have liked to have stayed at Spartak? If Spartak wanted, I would have stayed in the main team. In the end, I ended up in the First League. For me, this was also growth," said Popolitov in conversation with reporter Nikolai Baranov. The player played for Spartak-2 in 2025 and, last season, he participated in five matches for CSKA in all competitions, but failed to make any assists. During the winter transfer window, the athlete transferred to Chayka on loan.
