Inter won't give up on Liverpool's Curtis Jones despite Arsenal interest

Inter Milan are not giving up on Liverpool's Curtis Jones despite growing interest from Arsenal. The Italian team has the English midfielder as one of the main targets to reinforce its squad. However, Inter are not willing to break the bank to secure his signature. Jones, who is admired by coach Cristian Chivu, is interested in testing his skills in Serie A. The big obstacle is Liverpool, who are reluctant to reduce their financial demands even though the player has just one year left on his contract. According to information, Inter has signaled that it may withdraw from negotiations, which began in January, if Liverpool do not change their requests. Sports director Piero Ausilio commented on the situation at the Festival dello Sport, in Parma, highlighting that the distance between the proposals is significant. Inter have increased their offer to €25 million, while Liverpool are holding firm at €40 million, a figure the Italians have no intention of meeting. To complicate matters further, Arsenal entered the fray, pursuing Jones after seeing Sandro Tonali's prices soar and a verbal offer of £55m for Newcastle's Bruno Guimarães being turned down. The player, in turn, seems to prefer a transfer to the San Siro, with intermediaries from both clubs keeping in touch over the last week to try to close the gap between the proposals.
