In an interview with the French newspaper 'L'Equipe', Ronaldo shared a memorable moment that occurred in the dressing room after the match.

"We were friends and we continue to be. He came to our dressing room, but the atmosphere was very heavy. Many players were crying. I congratulated him, but I said it was not the right time for us to exchange shirts and I asked him to stay away", revealed Ronaldo.
France won 1-0, with an impressive performance from Zidane and a goal from Thierry Henry. Ronaldo praised Zidane, stating that he gave an exceptional performance: "He eliminated us with a truly masterful display. His technical level was the highest you can imagine."
