Atalanta is close to signing Puljic from Bayern: assessment by Sarri in pre-season
Ljubo Puljic, a young Croatian defender, is about to join Atalanta and will be evaluated by coach Maurizio Sarri during the pre-season.
Ljubo Puljic, a left-footed central defender born in 2007, is very close to becoming an Atalanta player. Last season, the Croatian played 18 times and scored one goal for Bayern Munich's second team. Now, he is ready to wear the Dea shirt and could even be evaluated by coach Maurizio Sarri.

According to information from our newsroom, Puljic will be a reinforcement for the U23 team, but will also be considered to be part of the main squad, where he will start the first part of the pre-season. This is due to the fact that the group will be missing initially, with players involved in the World Cup or on vacation after commitments with their national teams.
Sarri will evaluate him to understand whether he can be a player he can count on from the start or not. After this analysis, it will be decided whether he will remain in the main team or if he will spend a season in Series C with the Under-23s. In any case, Ljubo Puljic should soon become an Atalanta player, being a signing aimed especially at the future of the Orobico club.
