Cesena and Catanzaro compete to sign Pagliuca
Cesena and Catanzaro are competing to sign coach Guido Pagliuca, with Cesena currently having the upper hand. Both clubs are exploring options to find a new manager, with Pagliuca at the top of their lists.

The two Italian Serie B clubs, Cesena and Catanzaro, are looking for a new coach and have Guido Pagliuca as a priority. Currently, Cesena seems to have a slight advantage in the dispute, but Catanzaro is quickly recovering ground. Cesena's new sporting director, Andrea Mancini, has already found an agreement with Pagliuca, which provides for an annual contract with an option for next year. This profile was submitted to the club's American board, which is still divided between a change of coach or Ashley Cole remaining. Cole, who has not achieved satisfactory results this season, failed to secure a place in the playoffs and his statements have caused discontent among fans. Pagliuca gave Cesena a deadline of this Friday to decide whether he will be chosen or whether he will have to look for other opportunities. Meanwhile, Catanzaro, through sporting director Ciro Polito, intensified negotiations with the coach and his agent, offering a long-term contract and technical guarantees to maintain the team's quality after this year's playoff final. If they are unable to close with Pagliuca, both teams could turn to Davide Possanzini, who is also in the sights of Sampdoria, who are planning a meeting and considering him as one of the options along with Fabio Pecchia. The dispute for coaches promises to extend over the next few days in Series B.
