Pro Patria, Testa: "Finnat exercised his right of preference. Relegation is not my fault"
The president of Pro Patria, Patrizia Testa, announces a possible change of ownership after Finnat exercises the right of first refusal on Travagin's offer. Testa, after 11 years of management, denies criticism about relegation and hopes for a quick transition to take the club back to Serie C.
In the coming days, Pro Patria may change ownership after Finnat, a financial company linked to minority partner Luca Bassi, has exercised the right of preference in relation to the proposal received from Travagin and can thus acquire the entire shareholding package, as explained by president Patrizia Testa, who after 11 years is saying goodbye to the club.
"They expressed their desire to exercise preference in relation to the offer I had received from Mr. Travagin. I am now evaluating the details of the operation with my lawyer, with the priority objective of not bringing home any more problems after 11 years of management," said Testa.
The president also rejected the accusations received after the demotion: "Many of the criticisms were instrumentalized, mainly by those who did not get the visibility and positions they wanted. Anyone who knows the reality knows that, since July 1st of last year, I have not made any technical or budgetary decisions. The guidelines and management were entirely in the hands of Finnat and Dr. Bassi. In July 2025, I left with the written promise that my shares would soon be purchased. That's why I left carte blanche to the other part, allowing them to structure society as they wanted".
"I hope that the transition will be completed quickly and within the legal deadlines. I wish the future corporate team that they can bring Pro Patria back to Series C, the category where it deserves to be. If Bassi and his group manage to achieve this goal, they will have my sincere applause."
